Bored of plain old cocunut chutney? Enjoy a variation with this creamy, spicy and tangy tomato garlic chutney. Freshly prepared and goes best with almost anything – idli, dosa, rice, chapathi, paratha. Can also be used as a dip with veggies or chips.
Pumpkin seeds are supposed to be healthy addition to the diet. Try this chutney as a change from coconut or peanut based chutneys.
What will make the best fluffy idli made with our batter feel heavenly – the chutney. Chutney is really simple to make. A good chutney can make or break a darshini in Bangalore. We recommend you try out a few recipes and find the chutney that you will love. But if you need a little hand, you can order chutney from us. It is made using frozen grated coconut. So dont expect the Bangalore taste but we believe its as good as it can get here. Enjoy.
For the trial run, we are selling these at a super low price of $5 for 8oz (approx. 200ml), medium spicy. Mix some water to reduce spice according to your taste.
The title says it all 🙂 Dont know what is Vidyarthi Bhavan? Google it and you will learn about this legendary restaurant in Gandhi Bazaar Bangalore known best for its crispy dosas (and long, long lines). This chutney is as close we could get to the original VB. Best combo with any of the dosas and idli batters available here (we like it best with Red Rice Dosa).
